NEO-Based O3 Mobile Wallet Releases New Version, Allowing Direct Trading on Switcheo

The NEO-based mobile wallet O3 released its second version for Android and iOS, allowing direct trading on Switcheo, the company said in a post.

O3 and Switcheo signed an agreement last month, pledging to secure easy way for wallet users to exchange their digital assets for one another. Now users of the wallet

can access on the DEX the currently available 22 tokens – all of them NEP-5 assets, NEO’s protocol similar to Ethereum’s ERC-20.

Users can trade on the app’s marketplace section. In its new version, the different assets have key market statistics, as well as other information that might be useful for potential buyers.

“The marketplace has been in the app for a while, but until now, felt a bit bare and unnecessary. This was because we released it early, in anticipation for new features to be released in the future,” O3 Labs said in the blog post.

Switcheo is integrated with the wallet through a decentralized application browser. While the exchange is the only dApp available at the moment, O3 has pledged that will add more soon.

The partnership between O3 and Switcheo is similar to the one between Jaxx and Shapeshift, but the platform of Jaxx, which is much older, covers significantly more coins. Moreover, Jaxx has a desktop version and the Liberty update, which is still in beta, promises a gamified experience for newcomers.
